How to reach Phe Phe Falls?
A trip to Phe Phe Falls is a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it a must-visit destination in Meghalaya. Whether you’re traveling with a community group, guided by locals, or venturing independently, the journey offers a mix of scenic drives and short treks. The trip begins along the Jowai-Dawki road, leading to a campsite easily recognizable by a small eatery right by the roadside.

Our group paused here for a quick lunch before proceeding to the riverbank nearby. To cross the river, shared boats are available, charging Rs. 50-100 per person. Once across, the marked trail winds through expansive meadows that exude a serene charm. Visiting in December, we encountered less vegetation, but during or after the monsoons, these meadows bloom with a variety of flora, adding to the natural beauty.
The walk through the meadows is short and easy, taking about 7-10 minutes to reach the official entry point for Phe Phe Waterfalls. A little further from here, a descent begins, leading you through steps flanked by dense bamboo plantations. The descent of approximately 200-300 steps offers glimpses of the falls as you approach.
